Conversation With A 4 Year Old.

Yesterday, on our way home I asked Connor if he would like to move to another house.  He told me “I would like to move this house over here (pointing across the street).  Then we could get a new house and put it where our old house was.  For the old house we could give it to someone that doesn’t have a home.  I have an idea, since we will have a bigger new home we can have people come live with us that don’t have a home.”  That was such a sweet moment, he is truly in the spirit of Christmas.

Last night after bath they both wanted towel hats.  These are the best pictures I could get with my phone.  They are kind of dark, I couldn't get the flash to work.  After bath they are usually wound up rather than calmed down.  Here are the two silly boys.

After bathtime Jackson insists on wearing his towel on his head like a hat.  So, I have to wrap the towel around his head.  It is challenge since is head is not so little.  Connor didn't want to join in, he was ready to watch his bedtime show.  Hope you all have a Happy Monday.

I often wonder, how can this sweet face be such a stubborn, mischievous, bad little boy.  Yesterday, when I picked him up from school the first thing he told me was "I wasn't a good boy today".  He said that with his hands raised up in the air and shaking his head from side to side.    Jackson hit another child because he was standing up for his favorite little girl, Natalie (Nat Nat).  With a smile and look like his, I feel as though in the future I could be in for some trouble.  Happy Friday to everyone.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

Happy Halloween!

We are Pirates...Argh!  After school the boys were so excited as they knew what was in store for the evening.  We went trick or treating around our neighborhood.  After we finished half a quarter of the loop, Connor said "My bucket is getting full, let's go home now."  That was the easiest way to have trick or treating come to an end.  They both had so much fun trick or treating.  When they got home they got to each have some candy.

Daddy's Back Home!

This past week Cliff went to a Basketball Clinic in North Carolina.  While he was gone the boys spent the weekend with Gran and Grandad to allow me some time to clean and prepare for our guests.  Connor was so excited to wear his Duke Basketball shorts to school today.  Jackson was excited to wear his Tar Heels shirt.  Last night they both wanted to wear them to bed.  I hope you all have a good Monday morning.  Let's get this week started.  We are ready for our visitors Nana, Papa, Aunt Andrea, and Little Olivia.

It's Potty Time!

Little Jackson Troy Owens has begun potty training.  This weekend he got to wear underwear.  He wore them for about an hour then he requested for his diaper to be put back on.  He doesn't really understand that it's okay to wear underwear.  He kept telling me that it was Connor's underwear.  At school this week he will begin to wear pull-ups and then we will transition him to underwear. 

 

 

Mommy:  "Where does poop go?"

Jackson:  "Poo poo goes in the potty.  No poo poo in diaper.  Poo poo not on wall."

Oh, Snap...Cold Morning!



This morning it was in the low 60's which is chilly for us.  We haven't had a cool morning like this in a long time.  When Connor found out that it was cool out this morning he said "I sure wish I could see some snow.  I want to go to Papa's house to see snow".  The boys were so excited to get to wear sweatshirts today.

The "Crud" Comes Calling

 

Connor and Jackson both came home early from school this week (Jackson on Tuesday, Connor on Thursday) with a fever.

Jackson felt much better after spending Tuesday afternoon at home with his mom. Connor's fever was a little higher so he has followed up Thursday afternoon at home with mom with an entire Friday at Gran and Granddad's.

Both will recover in plenty of time to raise as much ruckus as possible this weekend. Have a great weekend!

Howdy, Mister!

This past weekend, two very lucky little boys got brand new cowboys hats from Gran and Grandad.  I've never seen them so happy.  Jackson is hillarious as you can see.  They both love their new hats.  Connor says "Howdy, Mister".  Our boys are so sweet, they make us laugh all the time.

Jackson's Birthday Cake

Jackson is such a boy!  He is into all things DIRT...tranctors, dump trucks, shovels, sticks, and much more.  As I was trying to think of what kind of cake to make for his 2nd Birthday I thought it was fitting to for me to make him a cake a that included some of his favorite things.  Connor thought the cake had real dirt on top of his.  When Cliff ate a piece of the "dirt", Connor quickly said, "no daddy that's dirt".  Oh, how I love my boys. 

As you can see in the last two pictures, Jackson was very shy when we sang him Happy Birthday.

Two years ago today our precious baby boy  Jackson Troy Owens entered this world.  I can't believe that it has already been two years.  Jackson is such a sweet fun loving boy.  We are all having so much fun with him.  He is smart, funny, caring, and a great little brother.  Connor and Jackson are the best of friends together.  We are blessed to have two wonderful boys and they are blessed to have each other.  It's amazing how time flies so quickly, we are holding on for the ride!

Sorry, for the delay and lack of videos and pictures.  We are having some technical difficulties with the video camera in composing the video clips.  A little gremlin or troll has come in to our house  and hid my camera battery charger.  I'm on a continuous search for my camera battery charger and I've had no luck.  The battery charger has been lost for some time. This weekend I'm going to have to break down and buy a new charger.

After a long basketball season with long hours I'm now able to get home a little earlier and grab a little more face time with my boys.  After a long day at school Monday I was pleasantly surprised to pull into the driveway    to Shauna and the "welcoming committee".
