Introducing: Jackson Troy Owens!!!!
First off, to those of you who had July 26th in the "Guess Baby's Delivery Date-Sweepstakes": congrats! After turning in for bed Sunday night around 9-ish I was awoken at 2AM by the bathroom light and knew something was up. Shauna returned to bed and said she thought she was having contractions. Nearly 8 hours later Jackson Troy emerged into our lives at 9:58AM CST.
This delivery went much smoother and quicker and we even had the luck of the draw and are staying in a room roughly twice the size as last time! As I type this Shauna and I are reminiscing about the morning's events while watching a 'King of Queens' rerun. It just don't get no better!
We've already had the little guy spend most of the afternoon in our room and if you're keeping score of his diaper changes - and why wouldn't you be? - It's Cliff: 1; Shauna: 0. Thank you for your well-wishes throughout Shauna's pregnancy. Below is the first pic of Connor's new baby bro. Enjoy.

39 Weeks
I wanted to use the title "Pins and Needles" as in, "everyone here's on pins and needles waiting for this little man to show up!", but Shauna overruled me.
It's Sunday night at 8:07 CST and we're in the homestretch. Shauna is 39 weeks today - 2 weeks past full term - so, evidently, this little guy is just hanging out in there. We're both very excited but it has become more difficult to rest. Every time Shauna turns over at night I awake wondering if it's "go time".
Everything's set up: our neighbors, Steve and Nicole, are ready to come over at any hour of the night and "monitor" Connor until my father can get here while Shauna and I rush off to the hospital. It's the least Steve can do after I've dedicated almost every Wednesday and Thursday night this summer to walking over and letting him beat the crap out of me in X-box. He owes me!!!!
I have a feeling it's going to happen before Tuesday. Leave your cell phone number in your comment here and I'll try and include you in my Jackson Troy Owens group text updates. Other than that enjoy the start of your week and the next time we speak Shauna and I will be the old, whithering parents of multiple children! Next stop: Del Boca Vista retirement village with Seinfeld's folks!

It's GO Time!!
On Sunday I reached 37 weeks and I'm now considered full term...YEAHHH!! As far as I'm concerned our baby boy is welcome to arrive any day now. We're ready as we can be for our new little baby boy. Our bags are packed, car seat installed, and we have bought our other much needed baby supplies.
Now that I'm full term it's time to play a game. What date will the baby be born? Remember that my due date is August 1st. Let's see who will be right this time!

5 Years, My How Our Family Has Grown!
Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary! Can you believe how much has changed within those years? On our wedding day we were two united into one and now we have become a family of FOUR...that's amazing!
We are all doing well, Cliff is still enjoying his "summer vacation" as a teacher. Connor is working on transitioning to the next classroom (big boy classroom = no paci's allowed). I'm still working and trying to stay out of this heat until the baby decides to make his arrival.
I hope everyone has a Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend...I think we've all earned it!

Connor at the Dr's office...ear check-up
Alright, here is a quick update...Connor had his check up for his tubes and all went well. He got a good report and he has to go back in 6 months. So from here on out he has to wear earplugs for any water play or bathtime. He is getting better with letting me put in his earplugs and when it is time to take them out he says "earpug out". Cliff took Connor to his check up and took some pics while they were in the waiting room. Connor looks calm and happy here but evidently as soon as the doctor came in Connor was not a happy camper.
P.S. Ear check up update by Shauna and Photo commentary by Cliff

Happy 4th of July!!!
(Cliff swears Connor looks like Grandpa - Pauly Walnuts, he calls him - Notaro here.)
Editor's note: Since the day they met Cliff has always jokingly referred to Grandpa Notaro as "Pauly Walnuts". Evidently, the name comes from a character in a movie that Cliff always loved and quoted so he's always used it affectionately.
Direct quote from Cliff: "If he doesn't look like your Grandpa Notaro in this pic I don't know who he looks like!"
