Fun In The Sun

This past weekend Connor spent some time with Gran and Grandad while we finished painting the nursery. Of course Connor had a blast while he was there and he got to try out the pool. Apparently, he wasn't to fond of the pool but he liked putting his feet in. This coming weekend we will try swimming again and who knows maybe he will like, he has too right?

Weekend With Daddy.

Remember this from 2008?
"A few weeks back Shauna's doctor had the amazingly astute insight to inform her that her due date might be earlier because it appeared that "the baby is larger than expected". Really, doc?!! 8+ years of medical school combined with more than a decade of practicing your particular area of expertise and all you can come up with is that our baby is "larger than average"?!! I'm 6-foot, 8-inches tall and well north of 240 pounds so it would appear--in my less-than-expert-opinion--that you're not exactly predicting the 2nd coming of Christ.

What else do you have for me, doc? The 17 year old kid sitting next to me in the waiting room wearing the eyeliner and Marilyn Manson concert t-shirt might not be in it for the long haul with his "baby mamma"? Yao Ming might know his way around a pair of chopsticks? Bill Clinton might not have been completely forthright when he uttered the famous words "I have not had sexual relations with that girl".

My son will be big. Write it down. He also will not be a good dancer or listner and will frustrate the bejesus out of his mother with his penchant for finding his way into economy-size trouble while only being out of her sight for a few moments. What can I say? The nut usually doesn't fall too far from the tree...or grandtree. "

Well with that being said, I am now 29 weeks, this past week I went to the Dr. for my regular check up. During my regular check up the Dr. said that I am measuring a little above average. So we will see next week how I am measuring and we may get to see the baby again to gage his size. When she said he was measuring a "little above average" I said I've heard that before (nothing new to me). So, soon we can play the guessing game of how big this little boy will be, remember they said Connor was going to be 9 lbs and he was a peanut. Let's hope that this one is a peanut too.

As indicated by the blog post title this past weekend Connor had a busy weekend with Daddy while I worked our College graduation. Connor had a great weekend with Cliff and you can see by the pictures.

Ready For School

Connor is always ready to go to school each morning and he always has his waffles in hand. Each morning before we leave the house he has to say bye, bye to Daisy and Bailey..."Bye, Bye, Daisy; Bye, Bye, Baybee...Good Girl".

On The Move...Go, Go, Go!

This weekend we were very busy. We started out our weekend by painting the nursery for our new little boy. We hope to finish the painting next weekend, if you are lucky I'll take some pictures of the walls thus far.

For Mother's Day we had a lovely time out to lunch with the family. Connor really enjoys going out to lunch and as usual he creepily stared at many people. Later in the day Connor got to enjoy some outside time to do some exploring. He is such a boy and loves going outside and getting dirty. Outside play time = Bath time.

Where's Connor?

All Hands on Deck!!!!

Sorry to disappoint you guys but this blog post will contain no cute pictures of Connor performing day-to-day tasks that are the definition of boring when adults do them but somehow come across much cuter when a 21 month-old performs them.

No today's post is much, much more important. You see, we need your help. For only 10 cents a day you can help support - nah, just kidding, not quite that important....but close. Shauna and I have seemingly been hit with a bout of writer's block regarding the name of Connor's little brother.

As with Connor we're going to include a family name (my father's father's name, in this case) and have decided the new baby's middle name will be Troy. We're in agreement there but have not been able to come to a consensus on the first name. One of us favor's Parker, the other of us is much taller and favors Jackson.

This is where you, our family and friends, can help. Please let us know which, if either, name you prefer. Or feel free to include any first names you prefer over the previously mentioned two posted here (we're not completely married to either, those are just what we've come up with thus far).

If you're one of the many folks who've traditionally read the blog without posting now's the time to leave your comments and help us name this little fella. Have a great week and we look forward to hearing your suggestions.
